Artsy Beach Bound Journal

Welcome to DAY TWO of Zutter Zummer........I'm Lynne Forsythe from beautiful New Hampshire, thanks for popping in! What a Zummer it has been but I am SOOO looking forward to my Beach Vacation coming up in August. With all that having been said....I decided to create a Beach Bound Memory Book using one of my favorite Zutter product - the Cover-Alls!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I began by gathering my supplies:
Claudine Hellmuth Studio Acrylic Paint
(various colors) Multi Medium ~ Matte
Petaloo Color Me Flowers
Hero Arts ~ Sweet Threads
Ranger ~ Archival Ink & Peeled Paint Reinker Mixture
Bella Blvd ~ Alphas
Let the fun begin.......
I covered the Cover~All with dictionary pages with Multi Medium. Placed dabs of paint on my Craft Mat and began to color away!!!
I then stamped on the cover with Archival Ink.
I soaked up the left over paint with Petaloo Color Me flowers.
I dry brushed white paint over top of cover.
With my handy dandy Dreamkuts machine I cut PERFECT 6 x 6 pages for the inside of my book!
I then bound all my pages together with the A~MAZING Bind~it~All!!!
And there you have it.......my Beach Journal!!
Thank you for stopping by and joining the Zutter Zisters as we celebrate ZUTTER ZUMMER!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And now, for the Zummer Special of the Day........

inspired by Lynne's perfect 6X6 pages.....

Gorgeous cover. My way to stay cool is to go to a movie or sit in the water at the pool.

Gorgeous cover. After doing hot yard work, the fastest way to cool down (at least a little) is to run cold water over your wrists.

It's been 110-ish here lately, so there's not much way to keep cool other than to avoid the sun and blast the car's air conditioning when I have to go out.

Now that is a really cool Beach Journal. Great job and very creative. Thanks for sharing

Love your cover! One of my favorite ways to stay cool is to sit on my patio with my feet up eating a banana popsicle.

It's been too hot to be outside here, but I love to take time most days & sit out on my patio. I fill the baby pool & put the end of my lounge chair in the pool. Then I can easily dip my feet in the cool water. Great cover ~ I may have to dig out my paints!

Love to head to Ocean City, MD, move my beach chair right to the water's edge and let the waves keep me cool all day long.

I live in AZ...so it is very difficult to keep cool unless you are inside with ac...try to do errands early in the morning!!

brateWhat a fun, creative cover! I love cover-alls...a cool product that's easy to use. I stay cool in the summer by making my ice cubes out of lemonade so as they melt I get more lemonade rather than watered down lemonade!

LOVE this album. Will definitely have to try this technique!! On a real hot day I follow my Grandma's advice and drink a hot cup of tea - it warms my body up which makes me feel the heat less.

I like to take find a nice quiet room with no kids running in and out and turn the fans on and craft.

I love to eat frozen grapes! I am also a Diet Coke drinker and I take a can of it, wash it to make sure it is clean, stick it right in the ice container from the ice maker and set a timer for 10 minutes. It comes out with just a little slush and is delicious!

You make it sound so easy to make your cover, but I think there was a lot of talent involved there! Beautiful job!

Freezies!! They are the utimate summer treat and the best way to keep cool!

Love the beach cover! My tip is not to hold little ones in front of you when they are experiencing the waves for the first time. They usually jump when the water hits their feet and if they are under your chin...well....you get the picture! lol

St.Pete beach watching the dolphin swim by early in the morning, and then walks at sunset. Great family times!!

When I am at the lake I just jump in to cool off. If I am at work it isn't a problem because they keep the air conditioning going strong. I usually have to go outside to warm up. I love this book cover too. Thanks for the great idea.

What a great project! To keep cool during the lazy days of summer, the best place for me to go is my air conditioned craft room and create!

My best keepin' cool on super hot days is stay inside in my central air house and surf blogs gathering crafty ideas...but IF I do have to go outside, wrapping a cold washcloth around my neck seems to help cool me down.
