LOVE the Zutter Canvas

While out on a ride one day I stopped at a little store in Warner, NH called WingDoodle. Wow...what a gem of a store! While taking it all in I came across a product by Golden, Fiber Paste. It spiked my curiosity so I bought me a jug of it!! I brought it home to play with. As it was time to for me to begin creating my August Zutter Zister projects I knew what I was going to do, so I pulled out my.........ZUTTER CANVAS ART BOARD COVERS......I think they are my favorite Bind-it-All cover, to work with, by far!!

So the creative process began!! IMPORTANT NOTE: do not gob on tooo much Fiber Paste on the side you are going to bind!!

I proceeded to smear the cover with Fiber Paste....and let it dry. Now, before I added anything else to the cover, I pulled out my Bind-It-All to punch the holes in the cover.

I now began to build the cover.....I cut fabric with Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die and colored them with Distress Reinker Mixtures, covered them with Multi Medium, dabbed on Distress Stickles. I created some of my GrungePaper Roses, nestled them all together and there you have it!!

For the inside of the book, I used the Zutter 7.5 x 5 Inner pages.  They don't fit this cover, so I had to cut them down to size but it was worth it cause I love the weight of this paper. Now I am going to totally surprise you with what I did next..........I pulled out my Distrezz It All and used it on the edges of the inner pages. I did a fun three hole punch on each end of the cover - just a little something different.

There you have it!  Zutter Canvas Artboard and Fiber Paste.  Punch...bind....Voila!

Take your Mini Album to the Wall!

I really love making home decor pieces for around my house and to give away as gifts but find them usually limited to one or two photos and for someone like me who takes hundreds of photos it just not enough. So I racked my brain and came up with this...

For the base of the wall hanging I used a 10x10 Clip-board Wood cover and added my main photo and decorated it with the Sweet Summertime paper line from Echo Park.

I then created two mini albums that I could add to the base with the Hang-It-Alls. To make the mini albums I cut the patterened paper just large enough so they would hang on the Hang-It-Alls without bumping each other and added wallet size photos. To be able to hang it I bound it with two holes so that the owire would be able to hang on the Hang-It-All. You could also use the new Zutter D's to hang from the Hang-it-Alls, but us Zutter Zisters haven't been able to get a hold of these new little doodads yet!  (soon, though, soon!) Here's what the "D's" look like - you can see how well they would've worked for this project!

I love this because not only can you leave it on your wall but you can also remove the mini albums and take them in your purse or take them down to show your friends and family.

Cover-All Love.....

One of my favorite Zutter products (and believe me....I have MANY favorites!) is the black Cover-All! It is so sleek and simple and it was just perfect for a mini album I wanted to make using only photos, some owires, and a white gel pen.
The black Cover-All is perfect for journaling directly onto the cover!! It's simple and yet very stunning! I love how this little album turned out and can't wait to give it to this adorable family!

I did use a bit of patterned paper and a piece of clear plastic but mostly this album is about the photos and the journaling so keeping it simple was my goal!  This black Cover-All is sized to go with the Pre-Punched Page Protectors, so unfortunately isn't part of the current 50% off sale on original Cover-Alls.  Zutter makes original Cover-Alls in white and craft, however, which would be great canvases for journaling with a dark or colored pen! Check out that sale, by the way, what a deal - Cover-Alls are definitely one of my faves!

Happy creating with Zutter!

A BIA Photobook for a Friend

I have a great scrappin' friend... she lives a couple of miles away from me, but we always meets a few times around the year.  I made this for her, and its empty now, but I´m going to fill it with pics of her and some pics of me, and all the scrapping fun we have made over the years!
Here you can see the inside. This is the clean, neat ½" white owire! Perfect for not so thick projects.  I constructed the album to have this cardstock fold-over cover.  It's simple to make and can be styled to suit any theme.
I´ve stamped a sentiment on the inside about friendship for her....which I really like, its so true!!  Why not make something for your special friend today with your Bind-it-All?

Soul Food - Music CD Holder

Do you love music? We do in our family! So at the request of my husband, who has become a great fan of the Bind-it-All, he requested a CD holder that can carry his favorite CDs in the car. As a result, this was created:

All you need to do is to create individual pockets for the number of CDs you want to have in this book. Here, I chose to include 10 sleeves, each made out of half a sheet of 12 x 12" patterned paper. Fold an edge of about 1cm on the bottom and on the right, before scoring the paper in half. See the rectangle marked on the right side? That's so that each CD can be pulled out easily from the envelope, after the rectangle has been cut.
Once this has been done, glue the two havles together on the folded edge. This is what you'll get:
Now run each CD sleeve through your BIA, before binding them together with your owires. Finally, embellish your Zutter Cover-All as you wish and there you have it, a personalized book to hold your CDs!
I hope you have loads of fun creating this and perhaps even making these as gifts for your loved ones! Afterall, music is soul food!
