Introducing Art-Full Horizons (Zutter is pleased to Sponsor!)

I'm putting on one of my other hats here to tell you about Art-Full Horizons. Last Fall, Donna Salazar (you know, the artist who designed the Distrezz-It-All), Laura Miller  (a superb retreat organizer), and I, by some cosmic force of fate, came together around a table at the back of a Chili's restaurant and hatched an idea over chips and salsa.

Art-Full Horizons was born. We talked about what we would like to see in a weekend scrapbooking/papercrafting event. What did we hear from others? What was already being done? And what wasn't? We left the restaurant that night with notes scribbled on paper and stuffed into our purses and pockets, minds whirling with possibilities, and smiles on our faces.

I am so very excited that Zutter has agreed to go along on this adventure with us as our Platinum Sponsor!  We will be featuring the Bind-It-All and Zutter products in most classes and offering an exclusive Zutter make-n-take project at our Grand Garden Tea, the kickoff to Art-Full Horizons. I mean, the Bind-It-All is so awesome, how could we not use it!!??

We've rounded up a group of talented instructors/designers from across the country.  People we know will knock your socks off! I want my socks knocked off at an event -- we're sure you do too!

Marah Johnson....

Donna Salazar...

Robyn Weatherspoon...

Becky Olsen...

Stephanie Ackerman...

Jennifer Priest ...

PLUS special guests who will be presenting one hour deminars each morning.

We've scoured the southland for the perfect location -- the Renaissance Resort Palm Springs. This European boutique style hotel makes you "feel like you're on vacation when you walk in the door" according to Donna Salazar. Um, yeah, it does feel that way!!

And guess what? Your hotel room is INCLUDED in your registration fee. Check out the hotel on a travel website and compare the rates -- we got a fabulous package for you!!

Then there's the gourmet food...breakfast and lunch included each day. Dinner can be a steal of a deal at the on-site Rocks Lounge Happy Hour where you can get a generous Cioppino soup for just $4, Salad and Sandwich for $4 and Crab Cakes for about the same. Or make it a night on the town with gourmet Palm Springs dining just a few steps away downtown.

This is the signature cheesecake from the on-site DATE Restaurant. Yum-O!

On Friday night we're welcoming everyone to the event with the Grand Garden Tea. Photo Vignettes, Hors d'Ourves, Meet and Greet with Instructors, FREE Make N Takes, and Vendors will provide a night for fun! The public can attend the event for just $20 -- what a deal!

So are you ready to go to Palm Springs to broaden your creative horizons?!

Sounds like this will be a great event. Too bad it is too far away. Why does all the good stuff happen on the other coast? =)
