Zummer with the BIA, 4th of July, and Elf Slippers

It's Day 3 of another HOT week of Zutter Zummer.  We KNOW that July has passed, and it makes us a little sad that summer has flown by so fast.  But we can still relish the joys of summer celebrations....especially when you have this colorful mini album from OZZ DT Member Lea Sanders.  We always love Lea's bright, clean designs.  Enjoy her tips and make sure you check out the shopping special and giveaway below.

What screams hot summer fun more than Fourth of July weekend in Washington, D.C.? My family decided to visit the Smithsonian Folklife Festival in D.C. and then a quiet, casual cook-out with sparklers away from the bustling crowds. So casual in fact that my hubby was in p.j. pants and my son was wearing Christmas elf slippers!

I wanted a very sturdy cover for this project as I knew I would be adding a lot of embellishments and heavier items. The Clipboard wood was perfect. Don't be afraid to ink the Clipboard wood, it takes just time. I recommend rubbing it in until it dries before adhering any paper or embellishments.  With the Clipboard Wood, don't hold back on adding the fun trim, like the pom poms!  The wood won't buckle or give in to the extra weight.

So while your summer memories are still fresh, whip out your supplies and your Bind-it-All and secure the good times in an album that will last!

Supplies -
  • Zutter - 1 1/4" white O-wire, 8" Clipboard Wood Covers
  • Other: ClearScraps – tabbed chipboard, Creative Imaginations - patterned paper, cardstock stickers, Hot of the Press – patterned paper, Colorbok – patterned paper, Bazzill – textured cardstock, Cloud9 – foiled chipboard alpha, K&Company – embossed stickers, adhesive stars, Jolee’s Boutique – glittered foam stickers, Epiphany Crafts – epoxy bubble caps, pom  pom trim
Lea's album is made with Clipboard Wood....a sturdy, punchable cover material that's perfect for making albums that LAST!  Zutter also makes Chipboard, Acrylic and Canvas Artboard covers that provide a variety of surfaces and textures - all deliciously punchable with your Bind-it-All.  Each package of material contains two pieces - a front and back cover! Or mix and match materials - like Acrylic front cover and Clipboard Wood back cover!  So many options for creating binding perfection!
NOW....
ALL Clipboard Wood, Chipboard and Inner Cardstock Pages, Acrylic, and Canvas covers are 50% OFF!
NO Coupon code needed and NO limit.
Stock up now for upcoming projects!
No other discounts apply to theses items, and regular shipping charges applies.

Would you like to win a sample pack of Clipboard Wood, Acrylic, Canvas and Chipboard?  Leave us a comment telling us which summer holiday or event you wouldn't mind celebrating more than once during the summer.  Heck, why not once a week?  We will draw a random winner and announce the lucky crafter on Monday!

WE LOVE ZUMMER!

Wow, this album is awesome! I love July 4th and the fireworks festivities. We have a huge family BBQ and fireworks show over at the lake. I wouldn't mind celebrating July 4th more than once in a summer.

I love the wood product. I have made 4 books with it the last 2 weeks. My niece was here for 10 days. Her Mom and I put her through scrapbooking book camp. I want to scrapbook the event

Cute album! I'd celebrate again the first harvest of the season. It's always fun to watch that first spear of asparagus come up or that first ripe blueberry.

Awesome event to make an album for.

Great album! We have 2 birthday traditions that we have followed for years. We go to Disney on your birth date and that birthdays last a week; your day, 3 days before and 3 days after! So maybe not every week but all week!

Really bright and cheerful! I'd like to celebrate Memorial Day at least once a month all year long!

I wouldn't mind celebrating Memorial Day more than once. It is the traditional begining of summer and if it came more often that would be alright with me.

What a great 4th of July mini.
I would love to have a family picnic each week to celebrate all the fun the kids are having this summer.

What a fun album! I wouldn't mind having Independance Day celebrated once a month in the summer~our boys LOVE it! But once a week? That would be a bit much for me, and expensive!

This is a great project, celebrating an event such as the 4th! This is an event that should be celebrated at least once a month rather than just one day a year. We get together as friends and family to recognize all the good in our country's beliefs and freedoms we have, so why only do this once a year? This project is perfect to hold on to the memories of this celebration. I'm off to order more products so I can complete my own memory album of our celebration!

Great album! I would love to celebrate Memorial Day over and over again! The weather is nice, but not too hot; the beaches are open. What more could one want?

2 years ago I was in France for the summer solstice. They throw fabulous parties for it, something we don't do at all here. I would love to do that. It was a pretty late and wild night but I think I could manage it a few times a month. :)

Also my anniversary is during the summer and I wouldn't mind celebrating that more frequently.

Love that colourful cheery mini-book!

As our summer weather has been a complete wash-out I'd really like to celebrate with some sunshine, preferably with a family BBQ followed by some stories around the dying embers as the sun goes down!
