Ahhhhhh Zummer! Chipboard Decor!

When it's this hot and summery, EVERYday feels like the weekend, doesn't it?  Welcome to Friday, and today's special zummer project from Zutter Zister DT Member Fleur Smith, up in beautiful BC, Canada.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ocean breezes, salty air, lazy days and beach time fun. Summer is a wonderful time to relax and enjoy time with friends and family. Or should I say Zutter Zummer ;)  What better way to recall those summer memories than with a framed decor piece that you can enjoy and admire at everyday.
 To create this mantle/shelf frame piece, cover the chipboard with patterned paper, I used the new Sunshine Broadcast line from Sassafras Lass which I am in love with. For this piece I used a 6"x6" Zutter Chipboard Covers for the center and two 4"x6" Zutter Chipboard Covers for the sides.
Use the Bind-It-All to create the punched holes and thread twine through the holes to join the three pieces together. This can also work with Zutter Owires, though the twine gives it a nice twist on the look.
Finish it off by adding your favorite summer photos and some fun embellishments.
I know every time I look at this it will make me smile and remember the Zummer sunshine!
Gorgeous and yes even ribbon used in BIA holes, works great!!! I add journaling to layouts that way so there is no bulk and yet adds dimension. Love your idea, too!
Oh, and I like to go to the movies on hot summer evenings! With friends and family, of course...
I am making a "Story of Your" mini album for my daughter. I'm so excited to be able to bind it! And hot summer nights just call for ice cream! :-)
This weekend I am finishing the mini album of my granddaughters 1st birthday. I don't have a bind-it-all so I'll be digging out the hole punch - one hole at a time...LOL On summer nights, I love to sit on the back patio and listen to the fountain while looking at the mountains in the distance. Very peaceful!!
Love the book. This weekend I plan on making more pouch books using my bia. I like to watch the kids play in the pool and take funny photos of them having fun.
I am working on some mini family recipe albums to share with my sister and my nieces. members.
My favorite thing to do is to sit outside by the garden with a slushy festive cocktail and watch the flowers grow. If it is really hot & humid then I stay indoors and find some time to craft.
Cute summer album!
I took the BIA 101 class from Jennifer Priest last year, but need more practice before attempting a larger project. I plan to make a little index card notepad for my purse.
My favorite way to treat myself on a hot summer weekend is catching a late matinee at the movie theater followed by an ice-cream from Cold Stone.
I plan on using the BIA to make a journal and album for our trip to the wine region this weekend. On hot weekends we hang out inside during the day, and then journey outside for dinner and game night on the patio.
I don't have a bind it all....BUT if I did, I would be making mini-books. I am falling in love with mini-books. I know that sounds silly. Oh, I would be scrapbooking for sure. By the way, did I mention, I now want a bind it all? Thanks for the chance to win the goodies!!
working on an album for my sister. Favorite thing to do on summer weekends is watch pro soccer. Whether it be going to the games or catching them on tv. Can't wait to root the USA Womens team in the World Cup tomorrow
Well, I have a little album in the works for my daughter to put goofy pictures of her and her friends in. I hope she likes it ! Hot summer days demand a cool, slushy drink and a hot , sunny backyard...that's how I like to spend an evening in the summer.
I'm taking your Nifty Gifty Class, and I made the Apron Recipe holder. Next, I'll be making the mini book. I'm looking forward to the new Planet of the Apes movie next month, but we love to take out our boat.
