Card Making Fun with the Distrezz-It-All!

I love love love my Distrezz-It-All and I use it allllll the time!  I love tools, they make it so easy to create one of a kind and  wonderful things.  I haven't had a lot of time lately (who does this time of the year, right?), but I have been working on Christmas cards.  The card above is one I made using my Distrezz-It-All, a few stamps, and some Radiant Rain and Twinkling H2Os.  Here is a quick how to for you to recreate this card, or one that is similar ~

First, stamp a design on some artist canvas.  I used some artist canvas by Fredrix, it is already acrylic primed and ready to use.  It comes in a tablet and you can get various sizes.  Anyway, stamp your design with an ink such as Stazon.  You want something that will not bleed when you use the Radiant Rain and Twinkling H2Os.  Next, use the Radiant Rain Dauber to outline a bit of color around your design, then take a wet paintbrush to pull some of the color in a bit.  See how I have left the center white? ~
Next, blot a bit of the Blue Radiant Rain (I used Mediterranean) off your canvas, and add a wee bit of Gold and Pearl with the Twinkling H2Os watercolors.  You can add as much or as little as you choose.  I randomly painted it on my stamped design, as shown below ~
I worked with it a bit, until I was happy with it.  Then I sprayed a mist of water over the whole canvas, and put a tissue on top and blotted the canvas lightly.
This left a softer wash of color on my canvas, but still lots of shimmer.  I then stamped a sentiment stamp on white cardstock using Stazon Ink, then went over it with a Pearl colored Twinkling H2O for some shimmer. As you can see below, I also used one of the Radiant Rain Daubers on the bird that I stamped on another piece of white cardstock, and cut out~
Next, I covered a piece of white cardstock with a bronze Raidiant Rain Dauber, then used my oh-so-handy Distrezz-It-All to quickly distress the edges.  It literally took less than 5 seconds to do all four edges.  LOVE that!!!  I then stitched the canvas to the card base (I edged the bottom first with scalloped scissors, then used a gold marker to outline the edges of the canvas), and laid all my other pieces out (a flower embellie, matted sentiment, and my stamped and painted bird).  Hmmmm, not sure I like the red bird.  Instead, I quickly painted a third stamped image ~
Much better!  I added some sparklie lacey ribbon, and my card is now finished!  Love the look of all the sparkle with the distressed edges.  So much texture, but not a lot of bulk!
Here is another simple card I zipped together in just a few minutes, using stamps, Radiant Rain Daubers, and of course, the faboo Distrezz-It-All.  I love that I can so quickly and inexpensively create one of a kind cards.  If I wanted to, I could actually create lots of the same design, since I am using standard tools and supplies like white cardstock and my scraps.  Creating on a budget, gotta love it!
I hope you create some fun cards of any theme using your Distrezz-It-All.  We would love to see them! Remember, the Distrezz-It-All is on sale through the 25th of December at the Bind-It-All Site, so zip on over and order one today!    Have fun, and happy creating ~ Pam
