Drum roll............Ami! You left a comment on August 9 at 7:16PST. Congratulations! You were post #23 and the lucky winner of a PINK R10 Round-it-All! Email me your address (nan@binditall.com) so I can ship this straight to you! Update 9/2/08: Ami sent me an email today - and her RIA is on it's way to Edwardsville, Illinois!
By the way, all the keep-cool summer tips are awesome and they are coming in handy this Labor Day weekend, where we have another hot muggy SoCal weekend. I had the girls doing some pre-back-to-school room tidying (we do Spring, Summer, Fall AND Winter cleaning around here to keep the clutter down), and it rolled into my scrapbook room, where I found these Zutter goodies for a back-to-school giveaway.
So when the weather starts to turn cooler (yay!) and you have some free time (perhaps the kids are at school), whip together some mini books of the last lazy days of summer, or a few early holiday gifts - with some 4X4 covers in all the materials - chipboard, canvas, clipboard wood, and acrylic. And a two-piece package of black 3/4" owire will help complete the mini projects. Just leave a comment, say hi and tell us what you are scrappin' these days. We'll draw a random winner on September 10.
And, thanks for stopping by the Zutter blog -we hope you will make it a regular stop on your web surfing excursions.

New Sizes of Chipboard and Acrylic
Yay! At last - Zutter now has the larger size chipboard and acrylic available - due to popular demand! The 12X12 and 9X9 chipboard covers are in - as are the 9X9 acrylic covers. These are great for your larger sized projects - and even better for school projects like the artwork binder shown here (and featured in the instructional videos at www.binditall.com). Both the acrylic and chipboard are made to fit punching specifications of the Bind-it-All - and both are roundable with the Round-it-All......
....which reminds me that we are drawing our Round-it-All winner tomorrow.....ooooohhhh......ahhhhh!
By the way.....two weeks until the Design Team Call deadline. We are very impressed with the response so far. You all are amazing!

Not Too Soon to Spook
I don't know about you, but as soon as I start thinking about back-to-school I start thinking about Halloween. It's something about stressing out about not having enough time to come up with awesome costumes for my girls, or an irrational fear of not being able to find the best gigantic bag of candy on sale. But I seem to think waaaaaay ahead for Halloween - more so than other holidays.
So with that in mind, I want to see what kinds of Halloween projects you all are thinking of this year. Maybe you have something from last year that you Zuttered that you want to share - we will post some here and on the Inspiration Station on the Zutter Zisters site.
This cute little book was something made last year...it's a 3X4 mini book with black linen paper from Me & My BIG Ideas, and the little embellishment on the front is from a mini deck of cards from a pack of Halloween party favors. But the real topper is the little spider....made from two loops of remnant Zutter owire. Take a little puff ball (the metallic Halloween colors were scored in a dollar area of a craft store!), glue on some googley eyes and glue to the owire. I used a strong liquid glue, like FabricTac. Let all that dry real well before attaching. Then to attach to the book, take about three strands of DMC floss, knot it and thread it up through the bottom of the spider, and tie it to the owire. Simply Spooktacular!
Let's see what you can do!

Bargain Scrappin’
Gotta love it! One of the best things about using the Bind-it-All is that you can use all sorts of ingredients to mix up really fast, great little projects. Today I was at Target rummaging through the Dollar Spot (which had a lot of stuff on 75% clearance, BTW). I found all this cute chipboard for twenty-five cents and whipped out these cute Cover-All decorated mini books in a matter of minutes. I added some cardstock, ribbon, and used that cute border punch from Fiskars (the ever-elusive Threading Water) and that's about it! BTW, you can pre-order Cover-Alls at the Zutter website.
I also found some great Making Memories die cut paper and stickers on clearance in the scrapbook section. I put together this book with Zutter clipboard wood - pretty dang speedy. Just need to add pictures or gift it! I had lots of leftovers to make cards - I always try to do that so I have plenty of cards for every occasion.
These were fun projects for a night when I didn't want to tackle anything big, but had a creative itch to scratch!
I know some Bind-it-All fans who create all sorts of quick projects as gifts or to sell at craft fairs. What do you make in a flash and on a dime?

Zutter Book Contest Update!
Emails went out late Monday night to the talented finalists who have been selected for consideration for Zutter's upcoming idea book. Make sure you check your spam in box for possible missed emails.
If you didn't get the email you wanted - please keep sending in your projects for the Zutter Zisters Inspiration Station. We love to share your projects with other Zutter fans!
Thanks - you are all awesome!
In the meantime, check out this adorable "Our Girl" project made by my friend Jennifer Priest. It is a scallop edged album, with alternating page shapes. The inner pages have varying flaps of acrylic and cardstock to add all kinds of interactive fun. I love the three sets of bindings. See? You don't need a whole strip to wire!!!! Jennifer teaches regularly around Southern California and is on the board of Scrapbook Royalty - an amazing group that organizes crops for charity across the country. Check out their activities - they are always worthwhile!
Happy Monday - and if you are the mother of a teenage girl, then you might know that the Jonas Brothers new CD went on sale at midnight EST on iTunes. The screams from upstairs let me know that my daughter downloaded it!
Keep your keep cool ideas coming! I am going to have to try some of these drink recipes :)

HOT Summer! HOT Round-it-All
It seems this has been an incredibly hot summer everywhere this year so far. Even though we are in Southern California, and are incredibly spoiled with nice weather, even we are getting unseasonably hot days this year! Just when it gets to normal summer weather, we get hit with the hot, muggy, full-blast AC weather! Well, just pour me another icy Diet Coke, and call me when the sun goes down 'cause I am scrappin' all night these days!
Speaking of HOT....the Round-it-All was introduced earlier this year, and continues to be a major in-demand tool. Part of this stems from the fact that demand was outpacing supply, so they have been hard to get. But the main office tells me that orders should be flowing soon, so check with your LSS if you are waiting for these.
If you don't know about the RIA - you will want to see one in action. See Chapter 6 in the video library. These are hand-held corner rounders that work on chipboard, acrylic, thin wood, thin tin, thin metal - anything the Bind-it-All can punch, the RIA can round. They come in two sizes - the R10 which makes a 1/2" corner and the R5 which makes a 1/4" corner.
And because it's HOT outside and HOT in my scrap room right now, it's time to give one of these away!!! That's right - how about a PINK R10 for one of you hot hot hot scrappers? Leave a comment on how you stay cool during these glorious, dog days of summer, and you could be rounding just about everything in YOUR scrap room! Name will be picked on August 31, so check back often. I need some keep cool tips!By the way, make sure you spread the word on the Zutter Zisters-Design Team Call! Entries started coming in almost immediately when we posted earlier this week. For those of you considering this - keep in mind that YES we are accepting international submissions, not just from U.S.
Keep cool!
Scrappy Nan

When and Where for the V2.0?
We have received a bunch of emails from excited BIA fans, wanting to know....when and where the Bind-it-All V2.0 will it be available.
And....the answer is.... it should be coming to a local scrapbook store near you soon! Check with your LSS and see if they have an order placed with Zutter Innovative. We had a great response at the Summer CHA show last month in Chicago - those store orders are going out later this month! If they haven't placed an order yet, know that orders will be shipped out in the order received....so, the sooner the better!
If you can't wait for your LSS - and we can't blame you if you can't - you can place an individual retail PRE-order at the Bind-it-All website. Read all the PRE-ordering information carefully.
In the meantime, enjoy this video overview of the enhancements of the BIA V2.0, and stay tuned for some exciting info soon!
