Spinning In Flowers

Michelle Van Etten and I have developed a fabulous new class, All About Flowers III, online at My Creative Classroom!! We're teaching it for a second time summer  - and we've gotten great feedback on the projects we make using the Zutter Spinner Album Kit!
Although class has started there is still plenty of time to enroll, so don't miss out!
 Here's all the info:

Proudly Sponsored by Zutter & Epiphany Crafts
Flower divas Michelle Van Etten and Jennifer Priest will teach you how to create 16 of the most popular, stunning, textural flowers using fabric of all types. Save money and create custom flowers to perfectly compliment any project or any color combination. Michelle and Jennifer can show you how to make designer knock-offs and create stunning looks that are all your own. We'll create a Zutter Spinner Album Technique Book in class that you can add to in subsequent classes as well as show you numerous ways to use these flowers in your crafting. This course is for anyone and everyone who loves crafting with flowers - no pre-requisite required.

By the end of the class series you will have filled the fabulous Zutter Spinner Album with nearly 75 unique handmade flowers!!! Even if you take just one class, you can keep adding your own flower creations to the Zutter Spinner Album to keep them handy as a technique reference guide.

To register go here and sign up. Only $25! See you online in class :)

CHA Videos from Scrapbook Dimensions

Here's another fun, quickie video from CHA last month from Scrapbook Dimensions. Their video team was visiting a variety of exhibitors at the show and checking out the new products. It was exciting to do this, and have editor-in-chief Cindy Wyckoff behind the camera. I can't help but get a little giddy when I get to interact with people whom I've read or whose work I have followed. What is it about getting scrapbook-star struck?!?!? Anyway, check out all their CHA videos here. They were sure covering a lot of territory and thanks to these videos I get to see a bunch of stuff I missed! Leave Cindy some comments and tell her hiya from the Zutter Zisters!

I don't remember this girl being so tall, but I look like a midget next to her!!

CHA Sneak Peek! Spinner Album Kit!

Take your custom binding projects for a SPIN!!!!This is one of the new products we are introducing at CHA this week in Anaheim. It’s so COOL for a lot of different reasons! But without further delay….this is the SPINNER ALBUM KIT!!

It is a completely customizable spinner album, on a completely customizable wooden spinning base. The album itself is bound together with the Bind-it-All, using the large 1 ¼” Owire, which fits over the dowel in the center. It is so fun to put together and has endless creative possibilities. Take a look at the video .

Isn't it AWESOME!!?!?!? The kit comes with an unpainted wooden base with dowel, 10 - 4X4 tabbed chipboard pages, 10 - 4X4 square chipboard pages, 40 pages 4X4 white cardstock, and a length of Zutter Owire. YOU take it from there and make an album to suit a theme, room decor or your mood. What fun!!

Now, another reason why this is so cool is because this kit is based upon the winning project in the Zutter project contest by Vicki Flinchum, one of our current Zutter Zisters Bind-it-All Design Team members. Vicki entered the contest long before she was part of the DT. Her project won over the judges, selecting her as the grand prize winner of the contest, and her project (and four of her other projects) are featured in the upcoming Bind-it-All Around the World Idea book. The picture above is how it appears in the book. Now the Spinner Album Kit will be one of the new releases at CHA – AND her project is featured on the product packaging. We are so proud of Vicki and pleased to have her on the creative team!

Ok, Vicki….you can bask in your glory and talk all about it now! Poor thing has had to keep it a secret up until now!!!

Watch for the Spinner Album Kit in your local stores and on our website. Coming soon…..
