Meet Our Certified Instructors: Kimberly Congdon

Introducing Kimberly Congdon,  one of our Certified Educators!

Kimberly Congdon lives in Kenosha, Wisconsin.  Which is pretty much in between Chicago and Milwaukee.   Kimberly has a classroom in her home where she has been teaching paper craft classes since January 2008.   You can also find her teaching in Illinois craft stores and in various Stores, Museums, and schools in her town.  Scrapbooking since she was 17,  is her first love but since she is running out of space for storing all of her albums (over 85) she has been doing more altered art projects.  Kimberly teaches between 3-6 classes per week.  Between card classes, cricut classes, scrapbooking, home décor, party décor, and kid classes, she is also busy designing items for a few local stores.  You can find her busy on line as well.  Kimberly is a big fan of pinterest, instagram, and facebook.  Now that she is adding the Zutter certification to her resume you will find her teaching zutter classes real soon.

Great Expectations

My husband's Sister and Cousin are expecting babies in the near future and he asked me to make them a baby brag book for their photos.  I ordered the Handmade collection from Lily Bee and some Studio Calico wood veneer frames and shapes because I thought they would be perfect for some baby albums.  I knew that one of them was having a girl so I made one of the albums pink and girly and the other one more neutral.

For the cover I used the wood frames from Studio Calico.  I layered them with stickers and added wood shapes and buttons to them.

I used the banner stickers to create a banner and added some twine.

I thought pinwheels would be a fun embellishment for a baby album.  I added it to the front flap page along with a "Welcome" sentiment.

I also added some Zutter Removable page protectors for them to slip some 4 x 6 photos into.  On the outside of the page protectors I added a journaling card and some wood houses.

This is the more neutral version done in yellows and greens.

I really love the butterfly wood veneer shapes especially when you add a button.

This is another flap page to add more journaling and photos.

I also added a few keepsake pockets, for one of them I just used a brown paper bag and decorated the outside with a confetti pocket.

I had so much fun making these mini albums and can't wait until they use them.

A Mini Mini

Hi everyone, Nancy Keslin here today to share with you a teeny mini I made with my Zutter Bind it All.  One of the things I love the most about my Bind it All is that the square punch makes the holes perfect for both larger projects and the teeniest of minis.

I made this mini to fit inside the Sizzix Suitcase die.  The inner dimensions of the suitcase are 3"x4".  Not very big to work with.

But, as you can see the holes punched with my Bind it All are perfectly in scale to my small journaling cards.

Even on this tiny file folder which measures only 2"x3" the Bind it All holes are to scale.

And with the 3/8" wires, my mini is ready to go.

Thanks for dropping by.  Hugs

Taking a Bite Out of Tax Day

Zutter Innovative Products

Celebrate Tax Day
Well, maybe "celebrate" isn't quite the right word!  Traditionally Tax Day is April 15th in the U.S., though the deadline was extended to April 17th for 2012! No one likes to file their taxes, and some of us wait until the very last minute! Yikes!

To make this year's Tax Day a little less painful, Zutter is offering up a 17% discount sitewide through April 17th. That's right....17% off everything through the 17th!
 Tax Day
Use code TAXDAY in the promo/coupon code field on the order form and hit "apply."

Just like the government, there are a few "regulations": regular shipping applies, and the discount does NOT apply to anything already on sale or on promotional special.

Tax Day comes and goes every year - and this deal only lasts through April 17th. Don't procrastinate like we did on our taxes this year and save big now.
