Zutter's innovative tools have revolutionized the art of the scrapbook album and beyond. In this hands-on course we will create a guide book and sample using the Zutter Bind-It-All machine, Zutter Kutter, and more, as a sampling of the techniques presented in the Official Zutter Certification Program, launching at CHA - Winter 2012. The samples created in this course demonstrate techniques that can be easily passed on to your customers and used in classes.

This workshop is sold out, however, we're sharing a few more photos with you to give you some ideas on ways you can incorporate unique elements into your own handmade books using the Zutter Bind-It-All:
Mix our Acrylic Tab Folders with Paper Hardware Bags between paper and chipboard pages.
Glassine bags make fun accents while our 3x4 Acrylic Pages are a great way to add a focal point between pages. Embellish with ribbon, sitckers, or bling for an easy accent piece.
And finally, adding in our Movable Page Protectors between pages, as well as using office supplies such as Shipping Tags, can add more room for photos in your books without the bulk of adding more chipboard.
If you're coming to CHA-W, come on by our booth to see more inspiring samples using our innovative line of tools and accessories!
Zutter Zister Jennifer Priest created this sweet little mini album for recipes or just for family memories. In class, we'll Bind It All to make it sturdy and create an easel from the front cover of the book.
Create a handmade, apron-shaped mini album with Crate Paper's adorable Farmhouse paper collection and the Bind It All machine. We'll layer stickers, use vintage ephemera, and adorable buttons to set the warm, country tone in this album. Use it as a scrapbook or to hold recipes--the cover flips to the back to create an easel to stand the book up.
Please bring: Bind It All if you have one, assorted dry adhesive or pva (no Zip Dry or water based glues please - they make the chipboard swell), scissors, paper trimmer, glue dots or hot glue.
Here are some more photos -- check out the cool vintage flash cards!!! You can put anything in your book as a "page" using the Bind-It-All!
To register for the class, please contact the store where it is being offered. See you in class!
Cover-Alls are a unique cover system that allows you the flexibility to create a custom album, but yet the owire binding is concealed! Cover-Alls come in sizes to accommodate the extra width of the Zutter Pre-Punched Page Protectors - thus, not only can you create custom pages, you can also create pages that are protected! (Regular Cover-Alls are also available in a regular width - that correspond with the cover size.)
Page protectors give crafters the peace of mind of knowing that their
memory art is protected from not only regular handling and wear and
tear, but also a certain degree of damage expected from "the elements".
The Zutter Page Protectors take that to a higher level by allowing the
pages to be seamlessly integrated into projects by having the pages pre-punched and compatible with Zutter album starter supplies - like the Cover-Alls. Additionally, all Zutter Pre-Punched Page Protectors
come in regular and MOVABLE versions. The movable protectors have
durable plastic tabs so that the pages can be removed and re-inserted
anywhere in your project should you decide to rearrange page order! What
can be easier than that?
Movable Page Protectors 4X6
The above 4X6 album was custom decorated for the upcoming scouting
year. Patterned paper was inserted into the protectors, ready for
photos from this year's activities. Should my fickle little girl scout want to
rearrange pages, she can readily take them in and out as she desires!
Flat Spine 8X8 Cover-All in white
This album is a baby shower gift...made quick for the new mom-to-be! Each 8X8 page was designed with a 4 1/2" X 6 1/2" mat and a label for each of the first 12 months of baby's life. Mom can add a candid photo as the first year of baby's life flies by! Each page was placed in a Pre-Punched Page Protector, bound and inserted into the custom decorated Cover-All cover! Voila! Baby Scarlet has a first year's album ready to go! (Mom loved it, by the way - it was a shower gift hit!)

Pre-Punched Page Protectors 8X8
The Pre-Punched Page Protectors come six per package for both regular and movable versions, in sizes 4X6, 8X8 and 12X12. The Cover-Alls for Page Protectors come in white and black, in Bamboo, Curved and Flat Spine for 4X6, and Bamboo Spine for 8X8 and 12X12.

This is what I had at work the other day. These sheets of paper contain data that I turn into reports. Once I am done with them, they go into the recycle bin. I get this much about every four weeks. During a couple of slow days during the holidays, I chopped a bunch of them into quarters to use as scrap paper at my desk.....but then I thought I would take it a couple steps farther with my Bind-it-All!
Trimmed into quarters
First I raided my stash of random Zutter Owire. I have loads of bits and pieces and different colors that I save for projects such as this! I also pulled out scrap cardboard that sits in a pile alongside my craft table. Since the scrap pieces of paper measure 5.5" X 4.25", I used my Zutter Kutter to trim the cardboard to 6" X 4.75". Along with the bits and pieces of patterned paper and letter stickers I save, plus a bucket of random embellishments, I made a bunch of scrap paper note pads for my office mates.
Scrap cardboard and Owire!
Zutter Kutter does the cardboard trimming!
Scrap paper, stickers and embellishment made up the rest!
Admittedly, these are NOT fancy - they are not meant to be. They are made with the backsides of old emails and reports with random office information. The cardboard may be tattered or bent a bit, and the stickers or paper mis-matched. I know my office mates with still love 'em and use 'em! Just remember that with your Bind-it-All you don't have to start with fancy supplies. Look around at what you have and make something special with it. Recycling and Reusing is highly recommended!
Happy New Year!
Thought it was time to showcase some of the lesser known hardware from Zutter - the Hang-it-Alls and the Zutter D's. By the way, the Zutter D's are shaped like the letter D....it's not obvious right away when you look at them, but that's how they got their name!
Hang-it-All Panel with Mini Album displayed with a Zutter D
These cute little hardware pieces can really add something new to your
craft projects - particularly home decor! The video below shows quickie
how-tos for making hanging projects. The Zutter D's by themselves can
be used to hang an album from just about any kind of small hanger. It's
a nice way to take a mini book or album and show it off! And, with the D's, you can switch albums around and enjoy looking at them!

The Zutter D's come 6 to a package (retail $2.99/pkg), and the Hang-it-Alls, come in two
sets with the rivets needed to apply them (retail $3.49/pkg). Both are available in either Antique Brass or Antique Silver. So if you are ready for a little something, add a few sets of Hang-it-Alls and Zutter D's to your stash and have some creative fun!
.......and many people get to thinking about what resolutions
they want to make for the coming year!!! Not so much for me this year.
2011 was probably one of the hardest years EVER
....I'm looking forward to 2012!!!
I've been inspired by a member of Swirlydoos to do something different this year..........
to create a Monthly Goal Art Journal!!
NOW.......I LIKE THAT IDEA!!!
It just sent my mind in motion.
I haven't made an album in WAY TOOOO LONG......
so I was more than happy to pull out my 8 x 8 Zutter Canvas Artboard (currently clearance priced!) to use for my cover!!!
I painted a little, spritzed a lot, inked some more and glued everything down!
The inside pages are varied in size and mediums, cardstock, chipboard,
watercolor paper and Zutter Chipboard (also clearance priced!) OHHHHHH what fun I will have!!!
So........are you making resolutions or pulling out your Zutter goodies to create
your very own goal journal??? Would love to hear your thoughts!!
This will be on the first page of my journal...
