Lazy Days of Zummer!

We are on Day Four of the Zutter Zummer blog special and we are delighted to share a project from Original Zutter Zister, Julie Ann Kelly, of Massachusetts.  This project highlights the ease with which you can create a great album with a few Zutter products and tools.

I LOVE summer-time... Sun, and warmth, and oh-so-many opportunities for fun pictures!! My husband had to travel to California for work, and we turned it into an amazing family vacation!! Here's the book that I made to capture just the highlights of the trip, a fun book that the kids can take to school in the fall to show all their friends...

I used an 8x8 Zutter Acrylic cover for the front of the album, and Zutter 8x8 white Chipboard for the back. The inside pages are 8x11 plain white cardstock, scored (with my Scor-it-All) at 3.5 inches to create a little flap (I like to journal on the insides of things). And, I used the super fun Echo Park "Summer Days" papers and stickers to decorate.

To create the book, I simply alternated the folded papers (so the flaps would be on the inside and outside of the binding) and bound with the covers... Then added the super fun papers and stickers!! A super fun way to create a little book... now I just need to print some pictures and get them glued in!!

With just a few folds and flaps, you can have a great looking album ready to go in no time...and isn't that what you want, especially in the summer?  Now get out and enjoy your day!

"I can ZUTTER that!"

Please tell me that I'm not the only person who walks through the office supply store and says to myself... "Oh, look! I could Zutter that!" Happens to me all the time... my poor husband hates when I go to the office supply store 'cause I always come out with bags of "stuff" that I am planning to make projects with!! Here's my most recent office supply project...

I don't know about you, but I tend to look in the fridge, see what kind of meat I have, and then look up recipes on the internet and print them... then I have to search through all my "junk" drawers in the kitchen to find the slip of paper with that yummy chicken stew that I made... This great recipe book is the perfect answer!! I used 5 black pocket folders, some pretty paper and ribbon, the From My Kitchen Cricut Cartridge and of course, the Bind-it-All! Label the folders with the tags for the categories you like to cook, and tuck your printed recipes in the pockets... Makes a great (and easy) gift as well!

So give all those supplies you have lying around a good look...you never know what you can come up with!

A Spooktacular Halloween Album!

Get ready for Halloween with a quick and easy Halloween book!! This little book is all ready for photos when Halloween comes!!

To create this book, I dug around in my big bin of plain mini books, and found one that I've had forever in my stash. It came with 2 covers (that are about 4.6x6.5) and the inside pages were an accordion album... I decorated the cover, and then Zuttered it, and also used the Bind-it-All to punch the inside (accordion) pages as well. I used lots of my die cuts (Sizzix for the ghosts, which are glitter paper and chipboard, and the cloud, and the Cricut for the "Halloween" title). I layered the pretty SEI papers for the cover, and for the inside, I used the Martha Drippy Goo punch to decorate the bottoms of the photo mats... I used the Zutter Bind-it-All  and Zutter 1" black OWires to put it all together!! A quick and easy project that's just waiting for me to take Halloween photos... I just love the embossing and glitter/foil on the patterned papers, I think they'll really make the photos stand out!

Here's a few photos from the inside of the book...

Hope you're ready for a Spooktacular Halloween!
