Wooden Postcards=Vacation Mini Album

Whenever I go on vacation I am always on the lookout for fun things to take home and scrapbook! This Summer while in Glacier National Park I found these really cool wooden postcards and thought "wouldn't those make great mini album covers!!" I bought two and with my beloved Bind-it-All machine I punched my holes right through the wood and made my album!

I really love how it turned out and it's a very unique album! So stop by those tourist souvenir stores and check out those National Park gift shops!! You never know what you might find that will make a one-of-a kind album. And with your Bind-it-All machine and some owires.....ANYTHING is possible!

Pockets!

I love making mini albums with pockets that can be used for just about anything. Journaling, photos, memorabilia etc. Here are 2 examples of mini albums I made for my purse that have pockets.

The first one is my business card holder. I made the pockets large enough to hold the standard size business cards and used the 3x4 Zutter Cover-All so that they stay protected in my purse.

The second one is a little first aid kit that has band aids, wipes, tweezers etc. for all those little emergencies. Again I used the 3x4 Zutter Cover-All to hold them but for this one I added some Maya Road envelopes to hold more stuff.

To make the pockets for this size project I cut my paper to 6" x 6" then scored it at 3" on one side then turn a quarter turn and score it at 2". The 3" score is to fold the paper in half then the 2" score folds up to make the pockets. Bind (with your Bind-it-All!)along the open edge and voila you have 2 little pockets.

You could also make a mini sewing kit if you are inclined.  Really, the uses for these simple little pockets are endless!  Start with a 3X4 Zutter Cover-All and you can't go wrong!

Trying a Few New Things (they all go with my Bind-it-All!)

I love trying new things.....and that is where my inspirations for this project came from.  With my handy Zutter tools at the ready, I pulled out some of the "stuff" I'd been anxious to play with.

I wanted to work with Twinkling H20's....something I had never tried before. And, something else I really had wanted to work with was Real Wood by Creative Imaginations.

I pulled out one of my favorite stamps - Flourish by Hero Arts, brayered on some H20's and stamped on the Real Wood and watched what it did. I used Cobalt Archival Ink to stamp the image again.

Using Tim Holtz Tattered Floral Die, I cut flowers out of Linen and Real Wood. I stamped and painted the H20's on the Real Wood, stacked the flowers and placed a brad in the center.

I created a puddle of H20 color on my craft mat and dipped the seam binding into it.

I then pulled out my Bind-it-All and punched holes in the Real Wood and Linen. Then I wove the seam binding through the holes and adhered the creation to the front of a Zutter Flat Spine Cover All.

For the inside pages, I used my DreamKuts. What a dream it is....all the pages are the exact same size with such ease!!!

To finish up, I pulled out my Distrezz-It-All, and roughed up the pages.....just what the book needed.

I challenge you to pull out those "new things" you've been wanting to use.....and give it a try!!  Your Zutter tools will help you bring it all together!

ATC Storage In A Jiffy with the Display-it-All (and more!)

Hellllllooooooooooo everybody! How the heck are you all doing today? Fab? Super fab? I sure hope so! Today I would like to share an easy peasy way to display your ATCs. If you aren't sure what ATCs are, they are just fun little cards ~ Artist Trading Cards that you create and trade with your crafty buddies. (I love participating in ATC swaps, and have some favs from swaps at Scrapbook News and Reviews to name one place.) Anyway, I wanted a fun way to display some of my ATCs, but didn't want to spend boatloads of time creating it. I decided to use one of the Zutter Display-It-Alls with a Tabbed Folder Album I had stashed. I also used the super easy to use Zutter Pre-Punched Page Protectors to hold my ATCs, and tied a fun wired edge ribbon to the owires when I was done. Of course my pink Bind-It-All V2.0 made super quick work of the whole project, especially since the page protectors are already punched, you just need to bind them in your album.  WOOOO HOOO, can you say warp speed fast?  ;)

Here is the front ~

Here is the back ~

Here is a peek inside ~

Another peek ~

Super quick and easy!  Plus the focus is on my ATCs, and with the clear page protectors I can see both sides of the cards!  I love that.  I also love the fact that I can easily add more pages if I want to, I just need to pop some of the Moveable Page Protectors in there, then load them up.  Easy Peasy, gotta love that! Create one yourself, you will be glad you did. I would love to see it if you do, just pop over to the Zutter Zisters Message Board and post a pic when you are done.  :)
Have fun creating! ~ Pam

"Jenny" Album.....

One of the things I like best about Zutter products is their versatility! I love that they offer so many different types of product to work with and that they can be altered in any way or left as is. In this album I made for a 2011 Senior girl, I used several of my favorite Zutter products...Clipboard Wood, Acrylic, and Canvas Artboard!

I wanted to make the front cover unique so I printed my photo onto fabric "paper" and adhered it to the front and back Clipboard Wood covers! This allowed me to write directly onto the clipboard inside covers! I loved using the clear plastic and also wrote directly on it around the perimeter of my photo to create a word frame!

Zutter Acrylic covers are fun because you can do so many fun things to it. I have written on it and here I have stamped on it using Staz-On ink! I like the effect that it gives!

Add some patterned paper, stickers, and some embellishments and now I have a cute little album for an adorable girl!
I hope you are inspired to get out your Zutter products and start creating!
